in the snow.
So, I drove my ‘99 TC in the snow for the first time this weekend (not my car pictured). It did not inspire confidence. The good news is the ABS works great. The traction control, I’m not so sure about. It lets the wheels spin just enough to get the tail stepping out and then limits wheelspin by cutting power. Not sure if it applies rear brake.
Anyway, that rear end feels all sloppy when it breaks and regains traction. I’m going to see if adding some weight in the trunk helps the next snowfall we get.

drive backwards, then it’ll handle like a FWD in the snow, which is better

Losts of weight in the trunk will help tons, like two dead hooker equivlant. Seriously though I’d do at least three #50 lb sand bags. Here in the northwoods they sell them at gas stations for about $3 a piece.

Did that too. It’s just not as confidence inspiring as other cars I’ve had.

Snow tires, or not? Seriously, snow tires will make a massive difference, even compared to all-seasons.

They are all-seasons with plenty of life left. Thinking about snow tires.

I DD’d a 1968 buick electra 225 through two winters. It was borderline gonna crash any moment in that car. Spun it out several times, my mom put it in the ditch twice. It’s only saving grace was that I could put my K2 204 skis in the trunk.

I loved my P71 in the snow. Then again, good snow tires and a limited slip diff made a huge difference in my case.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

I think the TCs that came with traction control don’t have LSD. But, it looks like I can pop one in for not too much dough.

Is that a Georgia plate I see? Where is it snowing here? Please, it’s supposed to be 73 on Christmas Eve; donate some of that snow please.

They forgot to tell you in the marketing: They mean’t All THREE Seasons. Snow tires or bust.

I’ve been driving those in the winter for a good ten years now. They’re pretty solidly terrible. The traction control can render them straight up motionless, and they definitely don’t have the best sense of control when it’s off. Even the ABS is kinda bad IMO.
Find a TC hearse though, then suddenly you’re the drift king

A hearse, huh? Maybe the difference is a stiffer rear suspension (assuming you are not joking).

Dead serious. It probably also helps that the hearse is over a thousand pounds heavier and a couple feet longer
